On the 6th of November, 2005 two members of Ensemble Gending gave a workshop for children in the Moluccan Historical Museum in Utrecht in the context of Cultural Sunday.
There were two workshops which were attended by almost 200 children and their parents. On the basis of the story Semar. Hans van Zijp composed music which was practised by the children and then performed for their parents and friends. The story was narrated by Dick Rompas. The music which belongs to this story is part of a project wherein easily performable music for the Gamelan is developed.
